Anti-KLK13 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein kallikrein related peptidase 13. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 277 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.6 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in prostate, breast, testis and salivary gland. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, KLK13 is known to be involved with proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include KLKL4, kallikrein-13, kallikrein-like gene 4, kallikrein-like protein 4, and KLK-L4. KLK13 gene orthologs have been reported in the bovine and chimpanzee species. Some KLK13 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
