Anti-KLHL5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein kelch like family member 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 755 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in adrenal gland, ovary and thyroid gland and less abundantly in lymph node, prostate, spinal chord, testis and trachea. Synonyms for this target antigen include kelch-like protein 5 and lymphocyte activation-associated protein. KLHL5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These KLHL5 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
