Anti-IRX1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein iroquois homeobox 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 480 amino acid residues and a mass of 49.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the TALE/IRO homeobox protein family, it is known to be involved with the regulation of transcription and the regulation of cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include homeodomain protein IRXA1, iroquois homeobox protein 1, and iroquois-class homeodomain protein IRX-1.
