Anti-Cytochrome P450 family 17 subfamily A member 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CYP17A1 in humans. The gene may also be known as CYP17, P450C17, CPT7, S17AH, steroid 17-alpha-hydroxylase/17,20 lyase, and 17-alpha-hydroxyprogesterone aldolase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 57.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
