Anti-Cytochrome P450 family 11 subfamily A member 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CYP11A1 in humans. The gene may also be known as CYP11A, P450SCC, CYPXIA1, cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme, mitochondrial, and cholesterol 20-22 desmolase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 60.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
