There are over 900 anti-Apolipoprotein E antibodies from over 40 different suppliers shown below. Choose from either monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies for a variety of applications, such as Western blot, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, IHC and immunofluorescence.
In humans, this target is encoded by the gene, apolipoprotein E (APOE). Orthologs for APOE have also been reported in other species, including mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee.
The canonical Apolipoprotein E protein is 317 amino acids in length, 36.2 kDa in mass, and has a secreted subcellular localization. It is a member of the Apolipoprotein A1/A4/E protein family. Apolipoprotein E functions in antioxidant activity and amyloid-beta binding, as well as having a role in metabolism, signal transduction, and small molecule transport. Tissue-specific expression of Apolipoprotein E has been observed in several tissues, including brain, kidney, liver, testis, spleen, ovary, skin and lymph tissue. Post-translational modifications have been described, notably phosphorylation, glycosylation and proteolytic cleavage.
Synonyms for this protein include: AD2; APO-E; ApoE4; LDLCQ5; LPG; apolipoprotein E3.
