Anti-S100 calcium binding protein A4 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene S100A4 in humans. The gene may also be known as 42A, Metastasin, 18A2, CAPL, FSP1, and protein S100-A4. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 11.7 kilodaltons in mass. The S100A4 marker can be used to identify Promonocytes, Monocytes, Naive Regulatory T Cells, and Human Group 3 Innate Lymphoid Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
