Anti-PNN antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pinin, desmosome associated protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 717 amino acid residues and a mass of 81.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Pinin protein family, PNN is known to be involved with cell adhesion and RNA splicing. Synonyms for this target antigen include DRSP, SDK3, memA, pinin, 140 kDa nuclear and cell adhesion-related phosphoprotein, and DRS. PNN gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PNN antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
