Anti-CDH7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cadherin 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 785 amino acid residues and a mass of 87.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is notably expressed in the testis, cerebral cortex, and cerebellum. CDH7 is known to be involved with cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The CDH7 marker can be used to identify Dorsal Excitatory Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include CDH7L1 and cadherin 7, type 2. CDH7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. A number of CDH7 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
