Anti-p28 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p28 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the DNALI1 gene, which encodes dynein axonemal light intermediate chain 1. This protein is believed to play a dynamic role in flagellar motility. The human version of p28 has a canonical amino acid length of 258 residues and a protein mass of 29.7 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell projections and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the fallopian tube, epididymis, endometrium, duodenum, and bronchus. p28 is a member of the Inner dynein arm light chain protein family.
