Anti-MDA7 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MDA7 is a known alias name of the protein interleukin 24, encoded by the IL24 gene in humans. This 206-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological processes. The protein is secreted and features glycosylated and ubiquitinated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for MDA7 include C49A, FISP, and IL10B. Western Blot is the most common application for the MDA7 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
