Anti-CK16 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CK16 is a known alias name of the protein keratin 16, encoded by the KRT16 gene in humans. This 473-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in pathways of aging and cytoskeleton organization, among other biological processes. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the corneal epithelium. The term FNEPPK is another synonym for CK16. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the CK16 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Western Blot are also common applications.
