Anti-PDCD5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein programmed cell death 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 125 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.3 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the PDCD5 protein family, PDCD5 is believed to function in the process of apoptosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include programmed cell death protein 5, TF-1 cell apoptosis-related protein 19, TF1 cell apoptosis-related gene 19, TFAR19 novel apoptosis-related, and TFAR19. PDCD5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PDCD5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
