Anti-MRPS12 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein S12. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 138 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uS12 protein family, MRPS12 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation and protein translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MT-RPS12, RPMS12, RPS12, RPSM12, 28S ribosomal protein S12, mitochondrial, and MPR-S12. MRPS12 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some MRPS12 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
