Anti-MRP7 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MRP7 is a known alias name of the protein CF transmembrane conductance regulator, encoded by the CFTR gene in humans. This 1480-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and cellular localization, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus, ER, and cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated, ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in the respiratory airway, including bronchial epithelium, and in the female reproductive tract, including oviduct.
