Anti-K-cadherin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the K-cadherin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CDH6 gene, which encodes cadherin 6. This protein is known to function in cell adhesion and the Notch signaling pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of K-cadherin has a canonical amino acid length of 790 residues and a protein mass of 88.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the gallbladder and kidney. Indicated applications for K-cadherin antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry.
