Anti-Erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ERBB3 in humans. The gene may also be known as c-erbB3, c-erbB-3, HER3, ErbB-3, FERLK, and receptor tyrosine-protein kinase erbB-3. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 148.1 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
