Anti-PLRG1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein pleiotropic regulator 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 514 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the WD repeat PRL1/PRL2 protein family, PLRG1 is known to be involved in pre-mRNA splicing as component of the spliceosome. Synonyms for this target antigen include PRL1, PRP46, PRPF46, TANGO4, pleiotropic regulator 1 (PRL1 homolog, Arabidopsis), and Cwc1. PLRG1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PLRG1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
