Anti-CLIP170 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CLIP170 is a known alias name of the protein CAP-Gly domain containing linker protein 1, encoded by the CLIP1 gene in humans. This 1438-amino acid residue protein is known to bind to the plus end of microtubules and regulates the dynamics of the microtubule cytoskeleton. It is localized to the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in dendritic cells. Other synonyms for CLIP170 include CLIP and CLIP-170. Western Blot is the most common application for the CLIP170 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
