Anti-ERalpha antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ERalpha is a known alias name of the protein estrogen receptor 1, encoded by the ESR1 gene in humans. This 595-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in chromatin remodeling, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of the cell and features methylated, glycosylated, ubiquitinated, palmitoylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for ERalpha include ER, ESR, and ESRA. Western Blot is the most common application for the ERalpha antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
