Anti-p110D antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p110D antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PIK3CD gene, which encodes phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase catalytic subunit delta. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses and B cell differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of p110D has a canonical amino acid length of 1044 residues and a protein mass of 119.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, testis, lymph node, and appendix. Other names for this target antigen include APDS, IMD14, and IMD14A. ELISA is the most common application for the p110D antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
