Anti-DOP1B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DOP1 leucine zipper like protein B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 2298 amino acid residues and a mass of 258.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Dopey protein family, DOP1B is believed to play a role in regulating membrane trafficking of cargo proteins. Synonyms for this target antigen include C21orf5, DOPEY2, protein dopey-2, dopey family member 2, homolog of yeast DOP1, and 21orf5. DOP1B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
