Anti-actin related protein 5 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ACTR5 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 607 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Actin protein family, it is known to be involved with chromatin remodeling and the regulation of transcription. Other names for this target antigen include INO80 complex subunit M, hARP5, sarcoma antigen NY-SAR-16, and ARP5 actin related protein 5 homolog. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
