Anti-GULP PTB domain containing engulfment adaptor 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the GULP1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 304 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Ced-6 protein family, it is believed to function as a an adapter protein. Other names for this target antigen include CED6, GULP, PTB domain-containing engulfment adapter protein 1, GULP, engulfment adaptor PTB domain containing 1, and CED-6. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
