Anti-actin related protein 1B antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ACTR1B gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 376 amino acid residues and a mass of 42.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. A member of the Actin protein family, it is a known component of the multi-subunit complex involved in microtubule based vesicle motility. Other names for this target antigen include CTRN2, PC3, beta-centractin, ARP1 actin related protein 1 homolog B, ARP1 actin-related protein 1 homolog B, centractin beta, and ARP1B. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
