Anti-actin related protein 3B antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ACTR3B gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 418 amino acid residues and a mass of 47.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is notably expressed in fetal brain. A member of the Actin protein family, it is reported to play a role in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton. Other names for this target antigen include ARP3-beta, actin-like protein 3B, actin-related protein 3-beta, actin-related protein ARP4, actin-related protein Arp11, and ARP3 actin related protein 3 homolog B. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
