Anti-actin related protein 10 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ACTR10 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 417 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. A member of the Actin protein family, it is known to be a part of the dynactin complex that activates the molecular motor dynein for ultra-processive transport along microtubules. Other names for this target antigen include actin related protein 10 homolog and actin-related protein 11. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
