Anti-FKBP prolyl isomerase 1A antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FKBP1A gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 108 amino acid residues and a mass of 12 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and cytoplasm. A member of the FKBP-type PPIase protein family, it is known to be involved with NF-kappaB signaling pathways. Other names for this target antigen include FKBP1, FKBP12, PKC12, PKCI2, PPIASE, and FKBP-12. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
