Anti-CDKN1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CDKN1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CDKN1A gene, which encodes cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 1A. This protein is known to function in DNA damage pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of CDKN1 has a canonical amino acid length of 164 residues and a protein mass of 18.1 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CAP20 and CIP1. Some CDKN1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
