Anti-Ladinin 1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the LAD1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 517 amino acid residues and a mass of 57.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is also secreted. Other names for this target antigen include linear IgA bullous dermatosis antigen, linear IgA disease antigen homolog, and LadA.
