Anti-STMP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein short transmembrane mitochondrial protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 47 amino acid residues and a mass of 5.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is reported to be expressed in monocytes and dendritic cells. A member of the STMP1 protein family, STMP1 is known to be involved with innate immune responses. Synonyms for this target antigen include uncharacterized protein C7orf73. STMP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Indicated applications for STMP1 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence.
