Anti-AGP1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the AGP1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the ANGPT1 gene, which encodes angiopoietin 1. This protein is known to function in angiogenesis and in utero embryonic development, among other biological roles. The human version of AGP1 has a canonical amino acid length of 498 residues and a protein mass of 57.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be a secreted protein that is notably expressed in the seminal vesicle, prostate, and epididymis.
