Anti-VGF nerve growth factor inducible antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene VGF in humans. The gene may also be known as SCG7, SgVII, neurosecretory protein VGF, and neuro-endocrine specific protein VGF. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 67.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
