Anti-N-sulfoglucosamine sulfohydrolase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SGSH in humans. The gene may also be known as sulfamidase, HSS, MPS3A, SFMD, N-sulphoglucosamine sulphohydrolase, and heparan sulfate sulfatase. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 56.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
