Anti-Neuromedin S antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the NMS gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 153 amino acid residues and a mass of 17.7 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. A member of the NmU protein family, it is known to be implicated in the regulation of circadian rhythms through autocrine and/or paracrine actions. Other names for this target antigen include neuromedin S precursor-related peptide/neuromedin S preproprotein and prepro-NMS. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the Neuromedin S antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
