Anti-WNK3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein WNK lysine deficient protein kinase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1800 amino acid residues and a mass of 198.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, lung, kidney, liver and pancreas, and in fetal tissues including placenta, fetal brain, lung and kidney. A member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, WNK3 is known to be a serine/threonine kinase that plays an important role in the regulation of electrolyte homeostasis, cell signaling, survival and proliferation. Synonyms for this target antigen include serine/threonine-protein kinase WNK3 and protein kinase with no lysine 3. WNK3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some WNK3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
