Anti-CFAP100 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 100. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 611 amino acid residues and a mass of 71.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, and bronchus. A member of the CFAP100 protein family, CFAP100 is believed to play a role in ciliary/flagellar motility by regulating the assembly and the activity of axonemal inner dynein arm. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain containing 37 and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 37. CFAP100 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CFAP100 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
