Anti-PR domain 7 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target PR domain 7 is a known alias name of the protein PR/SET domain 7, encoded by the PRDM7 gene in humans. This 492-amino acid residue protein is a known histone methyltransferase that selectively methylates 'Lys-4' of dimethylated histone H3 (H3K4me2) to produce trimethylated 'Lys-4' histone H3 (H3K4me3). It is localized to the nucleus and chromosomes of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in the testis.
