Anti-lysozyme like 4 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the LYZL4 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 146 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles and is secreted. It is reported to be expressed in the testis and epididymis. A member of the Glycosyl hydrolase 22 protein family, it is suspected to be involved in fertilization (By similarity). Other names for this target antigen include lysozyme A, lysozyme-4, and lysozyme-like protein 4. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the lysozyme like 4 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
