Anti-CFAP161 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 161. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 301 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the retina, fallopian tube, and bronchus. CFAP161 is a known microtubule inner protein (MIP) part of the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) in cilia axoneme, which is required for motile cilia beating. CFAP161 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CFAP161 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
