Anti-GUCA2B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein guanylate cyclase activator 2B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 112 amino acid residues and a mass of 12.1 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the Guanylin protein family, GUCA2B is reported to be an endogenous activator of intestinal guanylate cyclase. Synonyms for this target antigen include UGN, prepro-uroguanylin, uroguanylin, and GCAP-II. GUCA2B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of GUCA2B antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
