Anti-CGI-91 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CGI-91 is a known alias name of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein S2, encoded by the MRPS2 gene in humans. This 296-amino acid residue protein is known to be required for mitoribosome formation and stability, and mitochondrial translation. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. The term CGI-91 is another synonym for CGI-91. Indicated applications for CGI-91 antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
