Anti-Isthmin 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ISM1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 464 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.1 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. A member of the Isthmin protein family, it is known to act as a angiogenesis inhibitor. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. The isthmin 1 marker can be used to characterize Gray Matter Chandelier Neurons and Dorsal Excitatory Neurons.* Other names for this target antigen include isthmin 1 homolog and isthmin 1, angiogenesis inhibitor. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the Isthmin 1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
