Anti-GUCA1C antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein guanylate cyclase activator 1C. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 209 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.8 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. GUCA1C is known to be involved with signal transduction pathways. The GUCA1C marker can be used to identify Deep-Layer Corticothalamic And 6B Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include guanylyl cyclase-activating protein 3, GCAP 3, and GCAP3. GUCA1C gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the GUCA1C antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
