Anti-CFAP126 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 126. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 177 amino acid residues and a mass of 19.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. It is notably expressed in the nasopharynx, fallopian tube, endometrium, and bronchus. A member of the Flattop protein family, CFAP126 is known to act as a regulator of cilium basal body docking and positioning in mono- and multiciliated cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include protein Flattop and UPF0740 protein C1orf192. CFAP126 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the CFAP126 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
