Anti-STK26 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein serine/threonine kinase 26. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 416 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the gallbladder and skeletal muscle. A member of the STE Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, STK26 is a type of serine/threonine-protein kinase that acts as a mediator of cell growth. Synonyms for this target antigen include MST4, serine/threonine-protein kinase 26, Mst3 and SOK1-related kinase, STE20-like kinase 4, STE20-like kinase MST4, and MASK. STK26 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of STK26 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
