Anti-TUFT1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tuftelin 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 390 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.3 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Tuftelin protein family, TUFT1 is reported to be involved in mineralization and structural organization of enamel. Synonyms for this target antigen include tuftelin. TUFT1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some TUFT1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
