Anti-FZD4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein frizzled class receptor 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 537 amino acid residues and a mass of 59.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. It is reported to be widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor Fz/Smo protein family, FZD4 is a known receptor for Wnt proteins. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination and glycosylation. The FZD4 gene has been associated with the disease, Vitreoretinopathy. Synonyms for this target antigen include EVR1, FEVR, FZD4S, Fz-4, Fz4, FzE4, GPCR, and CD344. FZD4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
