Anti-PLXNA4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein plexin A4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1894 amino acid residues and a mass of 212.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the cerebellum. A member of the Plexin protein family, PLXNA4 is known to be involved with the regulation of cell shape. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include epididymis secretory sperm binding protein. PLXNA4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of Plxna4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
