Anti-SLC25A6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein solute carrier family 25 member 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 298 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is reported to be expressed in erythrocytes. A member of the Mitochondrial carrier (TC 2.A.29) protein family, SLC25A6 is reported to be an ADP:ATP antiporter that mediates import of ADP into the mitochondrial matrix for ATP synthesis, and export of ATP out to fuel the cell (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include ANT, ANT 2, ANT 3, ANT3, ANT3Y, ADP/ATP translocase 3, ADP,ATP carrier protein 3, and AAC3. SLC25A6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SLC25A6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
